Troubleshooting - An in-depth look into basic guidelines, procedures, and methods to troubleshooting

In this technical workshop, we will dive into the topic of troubleshooting as covered in the Mechanic and Specialist Certifications, but will give additional insight to the process, procedures and recommended best practices to guide you in the right direction.  We will explore some of the tools available to assist with troubleshooting, and explore one of the most powerful tools that is often not considered a troubleshooting tool, the hydraulic schematic.  We will review some basic troubleshooting algorithms, and then work through some real-world examples of how to troubleshoot a hydraulic component, and how to interpret data and observations.  As just one example, we will review things to consider when testing and troubleshooting a hydraulic cylinder.  We will look at examples of how the location of instrumentation is critical to the outcome and measured results; Information from one location is not always the same as another.  Join us for the 2025 Spring Technical Workshop as we explore the world of troubleshooting.
